Australia Halal Trade together with Kasehdia presents World Halal Forum (WHF) Industry Dialogue 2006 on September 18. The WHF Industry Dialogue is a moderated industry dialogue designed to highlight, analyse and resolve Australia-wide Halal industry issues. It also provides the opportunity for the Australian Halal industry players to learn the Halal industry best practices from other countries.
Experts from various fields who have been invited to become the panellists of the event have provided various insights of their respective fields. The event focused on issues in Australia in two key areas: Trade and Industry; and Certification, Standards and Audit. The Keynote Address has been delivered by the Shadow Minister for Manufacturing and Export the Hon. Richard Dalla-Riva MLC . The following are the details of each forum session:

RESOLUTIONS
- To draw up the formulation of the Islamic Charter for Animal Welfare based on the Shariah as a guide, to be tabled at the WHF in May 07
- Invite Australian participation in the ongoing Halal Science projects being undertaken by Thailand and Malaysia .
- To invite Australia to make a presentation to the World Halal Forum '07 on the recent developments in the Australian Halal industry
- To request the Australian Halal meat sector to apply the same standards for the domestic market as they do for the export market.
- For more training to be conducted, possibly under the auspices of AFIC, to develop the human resource potential within the Muslim community to contribute to the Halal industry.
